Stalin’s limousine, estimated at 2.5 million Euros, stolen in Moscow.

Armored limousine ZIS-115 which was driven by President of the USSR Joseph Stalin since 1949, was stolen from a garage in Moscow. Last night, six men entered the garage where the car was located, loaded it onto a tow truck, and drove away in an unknown direction.The vehicle was estimated at 2.5 million euros. It is reported by Baza Telegram channel.

A resident of Moscow, contacting the police, explained that the car belongs to his friend, the head of security of Ukrainian oligarch Ruslan Tarpan, who is under house arrest in his native Ukraine., REN TV reports . The car was not believed to be in running condition for the last 10 years, and it was not registered.

The six-meter ZIS-115 with a weight of 4200 kilograms was produced from 1949 to 1955. The limousine became the first mass-produced passenger car with armor protection in the USSR – it protected against 7.62 mm caliber bullets from a distance of 25 meters.

RIA Novosti, citing the press service of the capital’s headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reports that an operational investigative group is working at the crime scene. All measures are being taken to search for and detain criminals.
