Russian man arrested for trying to steal Lenin’s body

A drunkard has tried to steal the laid-out and embalmed body of Vladimir Lenin in Moscow. This was reported by the local media.

The man tried to climb over the fence of the mausoleum on Red Square this morning and enter the heavily guarded building. He was arrested at the entrance. According to paramedics, the man suffers from a mental disorder due to alcohol abuse.

The founder of the Soviet Union died in 1924. His mausoleum is one of the most important sights in the country. Millions of people visit this memorial every year. After the fall of the Soviet Union, there were plans to bury Lenin, but they were never carried out.
