A young man from Banja Luka, Bosnia (25), with the initials D.G., died today at the University Clinical Center (UCC) of Republika Srpska after feeling ill following physical violence against his mother.
As announced by the District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Banja Luka, the young man physically attacked his mother M.G. (44) between 8:00 and 10:00 am. Family members and neighbors tried to prevent him from attacking his mother before the arrival of the police, but he then fell ill at home.
After receiving a report of domestic violence, officers from the Banja Luka Police Department arrived on the scene. However, as D.G. fell ill, he was transported by ambulance to UKC RS, where he died shortly thereafter.
The investigation was carried out by the duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Banja Luka, Dalibor Vrećo, who ordered measures and actions to be taken, as well as an examination of the circumstances of this event, in order to determine the exact cause of death.
In addition, an autopsy has been ordered, which will be performed at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of Republika Srpska.”
