The body was found by the singer’s second sister, Yioda, at the house of the deceased in London. The cause of death was not provided.
According to the police, officers were called around 19:35, on Christmas evening, December 25
“We can confirm that very tragically, Melanie has passed away suddenly. We would simply ask that the family’s privacy be respected at this very sad time,” Panayiotou’s family lawyer said in a statement.
She was 55.
