During the first three hours, half a million citizens of the Republic of Serbia applied for the payment of financial aid(helicopter money) in the amount of 100 Euros through the web site of the Treasury department.
All adult citizens of the Republic of Serbia, with a valid ID card and residence in the Republic of Serbia, have the right to financial assistance. All they need to do is enter their ID card number, ID number, as well as choose the bank through which they want their money to be paid, regardless of whether they have an open account or not.
Registration will begin on Friday, May 15, by phone, through the contact center, whose phone number will be published on Friday morning.
The Republic of Serbia has prepared a program of measures to help the Serbian economy affected by the coronavirus crisis. The program is worth EUR 5.1 billion. The measure that attracted the most attention was the allocation of financial aid to all adult citizens of Serbia.
