Decathlon Portugal wants to share the company’s good results, achieved in 2019, and will share more than 15% of the profits with its workers. This way, each worker will receive, on average, 8.80% of their annual gross income . Since 2010, the year Decathlon arrived in Portugal, the company shares a percentage of their profits with all workers in a form of shares.

“The purpose of this sharing is that each employee is the winner of the value created together and, also, an incentive to savings ”, underlines the HR director of Decathlon Portugal, João Rodrigues. The practice has been going on for about 25 years, and all workers have the opportunity to become shareholders of the company and benefit every year from the appreciation of their shares.

To announce the distribution of profits, Decathlon Portugal brought together more than 750 employees from all over the country , in an action that took place at the Lisbon Congress Center. “We want to thank the commitment and dedication that our employees share daily in each of the functions at the service of our customers,” said José Fonseca, general director of Decathlon Portugal.
