According to NPR:”Vice President Pence had said that Trump would sign it while visiting the headquarters of the CDC in Atlanta.But the White House suddenly canceled the planned visit — saying that Trump “does not want to interfere” with the CDC’s work.”
“It’s an unforeseen problem,” Trump told reporters after signing the bill on Friday. “Came out of nowhere.”
