An Idaho man may influence the 2020 presidential election from beyond the grave if his family gets their way.

A grandfather’s family asked mourners to honor his memory by not voting for Donald Trump.

Marvin L. Ross, 86, died at a St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, last Sunday, according to an obituary posted on a local funeral home’s website.

It describes the father of three and grandfather of six as “deeply compassionate” and “loving” man whose greatest joy was “spending time with his family.”

However, his relatives added an unusual request. “The family respectfully asks that you do not vote for Donald Trump in 2020,” the obituary concludes.

“Our deepest sympathies to the Ross family,” wrote one poster. “Rest assured we will NOT vote for Trump in 2020.”

“Sorry for your loss,” wrote another poster, “but I’m voting for Trump anyway.”
