A shooting in Serbian high school saw a PE teacher confront and disarm a person carrying AK47, hand grenades and explosives, allowing the students to escape.
Witnesses said the shooter was in “full combat gear” during the Friday attack. He also had a bullet-proof vest.
The man walked into a full classroom during a philosophy lesson and fired a couple of shots into the ceiling, creating a hostage situation.
But then something unexpected happened. Another man walks into the classroom, this time it was a gym teacher Slavoljub Stojadinovic.
“I heard the kids screeming and immediately rushed there”.
What happened after that is something you would expect seeing in Rambo movies.
“My students called me from the gym to come to the classrom.I responded on time, I managed to take his rifle,”Stojadinovic said, adding that two bullets were fired during wrestling with the attacker.
“I’m still in shock, I would do this again, because my children are important, nothing should happen to them,” said Stojadinovic, who has been working at the school for 20 years.
Besides the teacher(minor fist injuries) and the shooter nobody else was injured and the shooter was arrested.

This guy is a legend, even the way he says “nothin should happen to my kids” shows his love for them.

The shooter wasn’t a kid. It was a 46 year old man.

I grew up with a Serbian. Sabri Tiroli. He was the strongest pound for pound dude I ever knew. Good man. Died too young. May he rest in peace.
Many teachers in Serbia are working on a minimum wage, and still they will do everything they can to protect kids.
I highly doubt pay has any correlation with one’s response to a shooter…

In Australia, the gym teacher would be arrested and the child shooter cautioned.

Vellaterra is absolutely correct. North America is so ass-backward that the shooter would be cautioned while the true hero arrested.

Rambo is in the movies. This guy was in a real fight with a gunman.
Glad to see that the Physical Education teacher acted in time without hesitation and saved a lot of lives. Serbia is a beautiful country with lots of old world history, I spent three week this summer. Visited Belgrade, Smederovo, Viminacijum Roman city erected around 200 A.D, Zitiste, Fruska Gora National Park. Now days, every country has has an idiot who wants to shoot and kill people. I will return to Serbia to explore more, Serbia has a lot to offer for a lot less than France, Germany, Italy.

My father retired as a high school teacher. He had a double major, PE and “Odbrana i Zastita” (something like pre army education). He was the same way. Any problems in school and he would be the first one to respond. I don’t care what everyone says, but if you don’t respond to a problem right away, the problems become bigger. This guy should be recognized as a hero and should be an example to others. Slavoljube svaka cast junacino i Bog te blagoslovio.
Most of the men in Serbia of same age as the teacher have had at least 1 year compulsive army training in Serbia which probably explains his reaction.
Good on him.
