The word on the streets is that the first smartphone with 16GB of RAM memory will be Xiaomi Black Shark 3 (5G). The well-known insider Sudhanshu1414 (Sudhanshu Ambhore) announced this via his Twitter account.
Sudhanshu said that Xiaomi Black Shark 3 (code name SHARK-KLE A0) , the successor of Black Shark 2, will receive a record amount of memory. According to a previous screenshot (posted below) from an insider, the device will support 5G networks. The said model has reportedly been spotted on Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) certification site.
Earlier, Black Shark founder and CEO Wu Shimin said that Black Shark’s first 5G mobile phone has already been prototyped and is in the debugging stage. It will be officially released in the first half of 2020.
Now, why would a smartphone need so much RAM, you may ask? Well, Black Shark, Black Shark 2 and Black Shark 2 PRO are some of the fastest gaming smartphones on the market and Black Shark is a niche producer, aimed primarily at gamers.
